New beginnings…..

New beginnings…..

Previously, we volunteered under the umbrella of the Kansas Firefighters Museum, producing five Kansas Firefighter Calendars. We continue to partner with them and have grown to operate and do our volunteer work independently with our new 501c3 non-profit, the Kansas Firefighters Alliance, Inc.

Our mission is to unite our communities and emergency responders for the greater good. Get healthy together. Serve together. Make the impossible, possible!

Our work continues with Coats For Kids, providing new winter wear for children in need. We are a resource for police, fire, and EMS as they come in contact with children due to losses from fires, poverty or homelessness.

We coordinate the free, hands-on FIRE CAMP for teens, now in its fifth year. This is possible through a collaborative effort of multiple fire departments, local agencies, businesses, and firefighters from across the state.

Taking it a step further…..

This year we are reaching out to serve, educate, and inspire police, fire, and EMS. Our goal is to have our net proceeds additionally purchase decontamination wipes to provide for our emergency workers. The fight against cancer starts with all of us!

We are offering free Suicide Prevention classes, taught by one of our very first Kansas Firefighter Calendar Team members, Calvin Brown, who is now based in Colorado. We want to bring vital information to firefighters, their leaders and family members. The line of duty deaths are slowly on the decline, but the suicide rate amongst firefighters and other emergency personnel is rising at an alarming rate. It’s time to talk about it and help each other.

Special tribute……

We hope you enjoy the special tribute this year to dogs who rescue people and dogs that are rescued by people. The dogs featured in this year’s calendar are from two non-profit groups; Hands of Hope Rescue, dedicated to helping save lives of dogs in desperate situations and Kansas Task Force K9 Unit which supports Kansas Fire Departments, Kansas Task Force, and the Kansas State Fire Marshall Office during Urban Search and Rescue Operations.

Thank you for helping us to serve together!
